Jefferson Center Metropolitan District (JCMD)

Approved in August 2003, this 2,004-acre urban renewal district is critical to support the city's growth plan for the next 20 years, specifically its goal to become more economically vital by increasing the number of primary jobs in the city. The area will have a mix of industrial, commercial and residential developments that will create new jobs and generate additional sales and property tax revenue.

Developer/owners Cimarron Commercial LLC and Arvada Residential Partners LLC are developing JCMD, which they are now calling Candelas. In the fall of 2007, construction began on the infrastructure, new water and sewer lines are being installed along with drainage and roads.

Vauxmont

1,069 acre site located east of Highway 93, plans include:

• 563 acres - Business Park
• 369 acres - Residential
       333 single family houses
       185 multi-family units
• 137 acres - Retail/Commercial/Office

Cimarron Park

426 acres on the west side of Indiana, plans include:

• 133 acres - Town Center with commercial and residential uses
• 23 acres - Business Park
• 193 acres - Residential
       600 single family homes
       300 medium density multi-family units
       800 high density multi-family units
